Nineteen years. That was how long Miss Amy Lynn Orsino has graced the world. That’s right. Today was the young girl’s birthday. It was a day young Amy looked forward to every year. She demanded only the best on her birthday. Heaven forbid you forget the day and not tell her happy birthday the very minute you saw her. When she woke up that morning she was greeted by a huge birthday breakfast from her parents, and then she spent the afternoon with Micah. She spent some time with her other two siblings and she saw the Trents before she finally escaped and headed the one place that she really wanted to be at the moment. She was excited to see what it was that her boyfriend, Brody Whitter, had cooked up for her birthday. She had been upset when he hadn’t wanted to spend his with her, but she was over that now and ready for what it was that he had in store for her. Amy honestly didn’t care what it was that they did. As long as she was with Brody she knew it would be the best birthday ever. She parked her car out front of his house and got out. She practically skipped to his front door before letting herself in and shouting to announce her presence to him. Amy spent so much time in this house that it was starting to feel more like home than her own home was. Eighteen, now nineteen, was probably entirely too young for a girl like Amy to feel the way she did about Brody, but it wasn’t like Amy ever did what was right or proper. All she knew was that she loved Brody and that she wanted to be with him. Where that took her she didn’t know, but she didn’t really think about the future and stuff like that. She was just enjoying living in the moment. And right now it was her birthday, and she was spending it with the man she loved.

we could have it all brody whitter had to come up with something so special for this night. it was hard for him to even think about what to do, because it was she was a special woman. one that had filled the void that brody had never been able to. it was her nineteenth birthday, the last one of her teen years. he knew how important it would be to her, and he also knew that the brunette had been upset with him for wanting to spend his birthday out with his friends and then the party that night. it was amy, and now that her special day had come around he had to make sure that there was something special for her. that was why he had been setting up a special dinner for her out on the deck. she had been buzzing around all afternoon doing this that and the other thing, and all he could do was get ready. this was her day, and he would be damned if he didn’t do anything and everything for her. he had kicked lainey out of the house and told her to stay gone. that it was his girlfriend’s birthday and there would be a lot of sexy time going down that evening. though he had gotten lainey to help him with something. the brunette was the perfect woman, and after mykayla he had never thought that someone would make him so complete, but then amy had walked into his life. amy was the woman he would spend his life with, and that was the fact of why lainey had accompanied him to a jewelry store to pick out the perfect present for amy. which was why that ring was sitting in a box in his bedroom waiting for their movie night. no, don’t be getting that idea that he was proposing. brody had bought her a ring as a promise that one day there will be a ring on that finger and one day he will call her his wife, but for now just being with her is going to have to be enough. he had set the picnic table on the deck and with that perfect candlelight dinner for his girl, and that was when he heard the door shut and knew it was amy. a grin pulled at his lips and he smiled brightly finding his way out to her. when his head rounded the corner he spotted her and kissed her gently before speaking. “stop right there missy! you aren’t allowed to take another step until you let me do something!” he took one of his ties, yes he had a tie and yes he was tying it around her eyes so she would have her breath taken away from her as she saw the deck and the twinkle lights that wrapped around it. he turned her to lead her out there and smiled brightly. “how was your day so far babe? though i think tonight is going to be the best surprises of your young life?” and he knew that it was going to be the truth because it was brody and he had put a lot of thought into all of this. tagged for: amy lynn orsino // word count: 5541 // notes: birthday <3// credit: to luna love bug <3

Amy had always enjoyed her birthdays. It was a day where she got to be the center of everyone’s attention, and who didn’t love that? She enjoyed the time that she spent with her family and the odd friend who had showed up or talked to her to wish her a happy birthday, but what she was really excited for was this right here, the time that she would spend with Brody. She had no idea what he had planned for her, but she knew that it was going to be, without a doubt, the best birthday ever. And this was all because she was getting to spend it with him. She was intercepted on her way in by Brody, who stepped in front of her and kissed her. “Stop right there missy! You aren’t allowed to take another step until you let me do something!” Amy sighed dramatically. “Fine.” She sounded annoyed, but really she didn’t mind at all. She didn’t really expect him to pull out the tie to wrap around her eyes, but she didn’t fight him. Once it was secure he started leading her, and she couldn’t help but have flashbacks to her childhood years when they played pin the tail on the donkey. She hoped that this wasn’t what he was trying to do. “How was your day so far babe? Though I think tonight is going to be the best surprises of your young life?” She laughed. “Oh really? That’s a pretty big thing to live up to. Are you sure you can handle that?” She laughed again. “And it was great. Spent time with the family. Mom made an extra special breakfast for me. Though it was more like lunch than breakfast.” She grinned. “I got to sleep in.” It didn’t happen all that often, but she absolutely loved it when it did. “And where are we going?” She moved her hands in front of her, half afraid he would run her into something, and not really sure what to expect or where he was taking her. She couldn’t wait to find out, though.

we could have it all he knew his girlfriend to be that little thing that always had to get her way. so he knew letting him tie that tie around her eyes had been a hard feet for her to begin with. but that was just how brody was. he was going to get his way and surprise his girlfriend to no end. a lot of work had been put into this evening, and yes her gift would be waiting for her. for now she was going to have to enjoy the food that he prepared for her, hoping that it was all to the birthday girl’s liking. he smiled brightly as he spoke to her, knowing that she was overreacting a tiny bit. “oh hush, you know you like it.” knowing that amy did not really like to leave him in charge of a lot of things, but who would? it’s brody! he was lazy ninety percent of the time, but oh well. he started to lead her out to the deck and wanted nothing more than to rip that tie off of her and let her see his hard work. as she told him about her day, all he could say was that he was glad she was back in his grasp now, as his hands rested on her hips. “trust me, i can totally handle this. my surprise is going to take your breath away.” and he really hoped it did. because those string lights had been a pain in the ass to set up, but the deck looked perfect and he knew that amy would appreciate it. he heard her question and it was then that he was opening the sliding door to the deck and was getting ready to take amy’s tie off of her eyes. but he spoke softly before he managed to lead her there. “it’s part of the surprise, now hush and let me surprise you woman.” that was when he turned back around and shut the door and then found his fingers taking the tie off of her eyes. ”happy birthday amy! i hope this is special enough for you, because this is only the beginning.” his dark eyes were hopeful that her breath had been completely taken away and just blown away by the effort that he had put into this all. the candles were lit and all he had to do was go inside and pull their plates from the oven. this was what brody loved doing, surprising her and he still had the biggest surprise to give her. that would just have to wait til later and amy could deal with not getting her present right when she wanted it.

Amy didn’t like not being able to see where she was going. There was no telling where Brody would lead her, though she was confident that he wouldn’t try and prank her or lead her into a closet or something. Not on her birthday. This was her special day, after all! “Its part of the surprise, now hush and let me surprise you woman.” Amy groaned, but there was a grin pulling at the corner of her mouth. She heard him slide a door open, they stepped through, and then she heard it close. Were they outside? Amy had no idea. She was so turned around she had no idea where she was going. She knew that she never wanted to be blind, though, cause this really sucked. She wanted to see where they were going and what he had done! She didn’t like not being able to see. All those years of pulling pranks on her brothers and never knowing when or where the retaliation was coming from. She felt Brody’s fingers on the knot of the tie tied around her eyes and she braced herself. She hadn’t known what to expect when it came off, but she knew that this wasn’t it. It was all so beautiful and fairytale like. Amy would never have considered herself to be a romantic type person, but this was absolutely beautiful and she loved it. No one had ever done something like this for her before, not even close. It was amazing. She turned to Brody, wrapping her arms around her neck. “You did this all for me?” she asked, still completely amazed at what he had done and that he had done it for her. She grinned and titled her head up to kiss him. This was probably the highlight of her day so far, getting to be with Brody. Even if he hadn’t done all this for her, though it meant so much that he had. “No one’s ever done something like this for me before. It’s amazing.” And it really was. This was absolutely beautiful, and it was all for her.
