rather hurt than feel nothing at all this was something that evelyn had not been prepared for, hell she had not been expecting to be going through this again. every time something got hard with herself and jem, she managed to do something stupid or just fight with him in general. every time though, the brunette managed to call and lean on micah. it was just how she operated, but after the stunt he pulled with the truck she wanted nothing to do with him. she was being obstinent and refusing to get in the truck, and evelyn really should have known that micah would be serious about chasing her down and throwing her over his should. it should not have surprised her in the least, yet here she was sprinting away from him as he chased her down the road. evie could feel her legs starting to hurt, but nothing prepared for him actually grabbing her and scooping her up. she started to pound her fists on his back and screaming at him. “put me down! godammit mike!” soon enough evie had her feet flailing and was making a scene, but she was freezing seeing as how she had been running around in one of jem’s t-shirts like she always did and basically nothing else. but she was still angry at him, micah knew she was having a bad day and all she wanted was to get in the truck the first time. it was his fault that she took off like she had. “i fucking hate you right now, just so you are aware.” she still threw a few good kicks and punches but nothing like when he had picked her up initially. now she just had to make it back to the boathouse before she totally laid into him. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 305 // notes: hehe too funny // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----All he had been trying to do was help the girl out and lighten the mood a little. Micah knew that if Evie was out walking in the dead of the night then something really big and bad had to have happened between her and Jem. He hoped that it was just a spat where the two of them were just being too stubborn right now to solve anything, but he couldn’t tell much of anything from the shortly lived cell phone conversation he had had with the young woman. Micah was always just trying to help and if he had known that pulling that little stunt with the truck would piss her off like it had, he wouldn’t have done it though he supposed he should have realized that she was in no mood for his little tricks. Now she was just being ridiculous, refusing to get in the vehicle despite how cold she said she was and the fact that it seemed as though she were in a hurry to get him there in the first place. Now Micah was chasing after her down the road, gaining ground on her rather quickly. Mike was always in shape and he was a damn good runner; Evie never stood a chance, and she hadn’t stood a chance against him once he got his arms around her. He lifted her up over his shoulder like she was nothing, and even though she fought and fussed, it never once affected Micah’s grip on Evie as he turned around and started for the truck. God, he could only imagine what this would look like if a car happened to drive by them now. Even though it probably just pissed her off more, Micah had to chuckle as Evie told him that she hated him. “I’m sure you do, princess, but it seems to me like you and I are stuck with each other until you get your shit together. You’re just going to have to deal with it.” He repositioned her slightly, the truck only being a few yards away now. “And really, Ev, you can’t just go walking down the streets like this. People are going to start thinking you’re some kind of prostitute, and a cheap one at that.” He joked, but Micah really was concerned for her safety. This was a small town, but it still had its fair share of people that were up to no good that ran the streets late at night. evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all she was absolutely livid with this current development. she had needed him to be there and to help her piece herself back together, but no. this was micah orsino for you; he had to make a bad night worse. evelyn knew that he was not to blame for how her evening had started, but she certainly had to blame him for the current predicament that she was in. he was driving her insane, and it had not been that long since she moved out of the houseboat. his arms encircled her, and she knew from that moment on that she was a goner. micah would do exactly what he wanted with her, and that was because he could probably snap her in half if he wanted to. she should have made it a bigger priority to keep on her running schedule, and if she would have done that maybe she would not be thrown up over his shoulder right now. it was almost sad to see her like this, but knowing evie she would laugh about this later. tonight was not the night that micah needed to be doing all of these stupid ass antics. she hated him for this, but it was only in this exact moment. mike knew that he would always have that special micah sized hole in her heart and that was a known fact. she frowned as he spoke to her, “fine, i may be stuck with you, but i don’t have to like it!” evie was using his own words against him, but it was true. she didn’t have to like this one bit. but now he had crossed the line. she realized how close to the truck that the two of them where, but he had basically called her a prostitute, and a cheap one at that! “micah david orsino! you take it back right now! first off no one would expect me for a prostitute, and second of all i would not be cheap if i was! now put me down this instant!” evie was weighing her options if he were to put her down. there was the option that she did what she was told and got in the truck but then there was always option number two and she could take off again. then again it was mike and she was probably never going to get down. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 405 // notes: hehe too funny // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----Alright, so Micah really was trying to be helpful here. He knew that Evie had somehow managed to once again find herself in a bad place, and he was trying to be the knight in shining armor that most other people let him be when they needed him. Evie, however, was little bit more stubborn than that and wasn’t so easy to deal with. Micah was a master at getting people to laugh, temporarily forgetting all of their problems that had brought them to call him. It was a gift, but one that Evelyn wasn’t appreciating right now. Maybe the truck thing had been pushing it, but she was taking the rest of this entirely too seriously. He hadn’t meant to call her a cheap prostitute and he hadn’t meant to imply that that was what people thought of her. He just knew how some of the lowlier men in this town could be late at night when they got one too many drinks in them, and he could only imagine what would happen to a pretty thing like Evie if they happened upon her. She was tough, but Micah was always concerned for her safety, which was why he was hauling her ass to the truck. “What, so you can run away again and this whole process take even longer than it already has? No thank you. You wanted a ride, I’m here, and I’m not letting you go until I get you in the truck and that’s the way it’s going to be, Miss Garland.” As fun and loving and caring as Micah was, he was also very good at the tough love business and that was what Evie needed a lot of the time. She was stubborn alright, but Micah could be equally stubborn and more if she pushed him to it. Ev could kick and hit and bite and whatever else, but Mike had a good hold on her and she wasn’t going anywhere. Of course she was going to bitch and pout when he finally did get her in the truck, but Micah paid her no mind as he retook his position behind the wheel and started on the way back down to the docks. It was silent for a short amount of time before Micah shot a sideways glance at her. “So…you want to talk about it, or is it still too soon?” evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all everything that the man had been doing was in his good natured self, and evelyn understood that. it was just hard for her to wrap her head around the shit that was going on. one thing she was not thrilled with was the whole fireman’s carry thing that he had going on. if he had done this on any other night, evie would have probably laughed. it just was not the brunette’s night and she really did not feel like laughing right now. what she felt like doing was crawling into a little ball and disappearing. was it too much to ask for her life to stay together for once? evelyn really felt that God hated her for whatever reason that was and that he was out to ruin her fucking life. first her sisters had to die, then she had to be heartbroken, and now it had all happened again. it just seemed that she could not win, but micah had come along to pick up her broken pieces just like he always did. it was how the two of them worked, and he knew her too well to know where her head was at. he knew that if he put her down she would take off again. “well what if i don’t want to be in the fucking truck with you?! i shouldn’t have called you!” but she knew that she wasn’t going to get down, and that was obvious as his voice continue on. she should have known that he would toss her in the truck and expect her to stay put as they drove back to the dock. she was pouting in her finest form until his voice decided to try and make her talk about it all. all evie could do was stare at him in disbelief. if she wanted to talk about it she would have said something about what happened on the phone, but of course he was going to try. “what do you think? besides i’m not talking to you! you are a jerk and i don’t want to be in this goddamn truck with you.” she was still very angry with him, but even in her anger she just wanted to know that things would be okay. she moved closer to him and tried to cuddle up to him. she buried her head in his chest and tried to stay angry at him. “i’m still mad at you. don’t think i’m not, i just need you to make it better.” tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 431 // notes: hehe too funny // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----Most people would have already dumped this girl on her ass by now and told her to freeze. Evelyn Garland was not always the easiest person to try and handle, and a lot of people didn’t even put in the time and effort because they knew all they were going to get in return was a slap in the face, whether it be literal or some kind of stinging remark. However, Micah had the patience of a fucking saint when it came to this woman, and she could tell him that she hated him and complain about just how much she didn’t want to be in that truck with him; it wouldn’t bother him in the least. He understood that she was hurting and that things had blown up in her face once again, and she was yelling at him because somewhere in her head she knew that he would forgive her for it. Micah couldn’t pretend that he knew what she was going through, but all of his various life experiences had made him relatable to nearly anything that anyone else was dealing with. He hadn’t lost a sibling, but he had lost friends. He had never really had his heart broken like Evie just had, but he had been close. Mike had thought that maybe it would be too soon to talk, but he had to try to get Evie to open up to him just a little even if it resulted in nothing except for more of her verbal abuse. He sighed but kept his eyes on the road, braking slightly for a turn they were taking. This was going to be a long night, but he would go through it all for Evie. Micah was prepared to endure the silent treatment when he felt Evie scoot over closer to him. He shot a somewhat surprised look at her, but moved his arm and allowed her to cuddle into him regardless. A small grin appeared on his lips as she told him that she was still mad at him, Micah unable to overlook just how adorable this all really was. “Well, I’m definitely going to try and make it better for you, or as better as it possibly can be.” He furrowed his brow slightly, wondering if “as better” was even grammatically correct, but then he let it go. “And I know you’re still mad at me and that you would rather freeze your ass off in that skimpy t-shirt than be in this truck right now, but I’m glad you called. I’m happy to know that you’re safe.” Because of something were to ever happen to Evie, Micah would lose it. They had grown closer in the last few months, and even though they had always managed to be friends before, it was nice to have that new closeness between them. “Plus, the boat was seeming a little quiet without you around,” he added, hoping for some humor and to maybe get her mood to improve a little if that was even going to be possible tonight evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all as angry as she could be at the man who now held her in his arms, she knew that he was always going to be there to be her rock. no matter what had brought them together in this current state in their relationship, but she was thankful. mike had always been there for her, and after everything there was something there that meant so much more to her now than before. she let her tiny body find its way into him and was thankful that he didn’t push her away. sure that look was enough to make her realize that he was surprised, hell she was too. she wanted to be angry with him, but her heart ached after every piece of progress she had made she was out on her ass again. it was a never ending cycle with her. micah was always there to pick her up and make sure she was safe, and with his arm around her she knew that she would always be safe. she also knew that if she asked him to go lay into jem he would, just because of how close the two of them had gotten while living together. “you better make it better. besides you have a lot of making up to do for throwing me in the truck.” evie was playing up her pout knowing that everyone always fell for her big doe eyes, and micah was no exception. more than anything she needed him to make the pain and ache go away as only he knew how. it was just a trait he had and he always knew how to make her feel at ease with everything. “actually i would rather be freezing in my skimpy shirt, thank you. but why in the hell do you care what happens to me or not? it’s not like i’m all that special, especially since you only ever get to see me beaten and broken down.” which was the truth, mike hasn’t seen evie in her best form in a long time. and now she was losing hope in everything that she had once thought to be true. her dark eyes looked up to him with a slight twinkle, it was nice to know that he really did miss her. “is that your way of telling me that you missed me, micah? because i kind of missed you too.” which wasn’t a lie. evie truly missed him somedays, and it was hard for her to think of a life that didn’t have mike close at her side. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 439 // notes: hehe too funny // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----Micah’s whole thing with Evie was simple. He didn’t let her get under his skin, and he didn’t let her intimidate him like she seemed to be able to do with most other people. Others would probably get frustrated with her pouting, but Micah was able to roll his eyes in the darkness of the cab and didn’t pay attention. Evie could pout all she wanted to and try to make him think that he had real groveling to do, but they both knew that he had done nothing wrong and that she would be thankful for all of this later whether she realized it now or not. He would undoubtedly melt under those big brown eyes of hers, but she wouldn’t make him feel bad for doing what he knew was the right thing in hauling her ass to the truck. And, he almost had to roll his eyes at the brunette again when she said that she would rather be freezing. Now she was just trying to be stubborn and trying to stay mad at him, but again he didn’t let it faze him in the slightest. He did, however, worry when her next question arose. Why did he care about what happened to her? All the smiles and grins faded from his lips, hearing how she spoke about herself. “Ev, why wouldn’t I care? Come on, you know that you’re special to me no matter how I get to see you. I’m always going to care about you, so you might as well accept that and move on.” God, did she really think that poorly of herself? It nearly broke him to realize that and he hoped that this was just another low point. If not, they were seriously going to have to work on this self-image that she had of herself. But, when he glanced down at her again there was a little sparkle to her eye as she questioned him about missing her. He had to grin as she said that she missed him, just because he knew that not many got to see this softer side of Evelyn Garland. “Yeah, that would be me saying that I missed you. Just be thankful that I’m still on the outs with Feia and Tyler hasn’t gotten his shit together to move in or else you’d be out of a bed.” Micah didn’t know if Feia was ever coming back, but he tried not to worry about it. As for Ty, well, that kid never knew what he wanted to do so Micah didn’t see his feelings getting too hurt by Evie moving into the boathouse again. evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all the brunette knew that all micah orsino had been doing was looking out for her, and he was amazing at making sure that she was taken care of. evelyn had to appreciate that he was always willing to pick her up when she faltered. it was few and far between that she had people like this in her life, and it seemed that no matter how much she pushed him away he stood strong and steadfast. he was her protector, and that was what she needed as she tried to keep herself from falling to pieces. she saw him roll his eyes, and she was certain that it was because of her stubbornness. it was just how evie was, and micah still managed to care about her. something that no one managed to be able to do, or at least do it unconditionally throughout her life time. yet each and every time she needed him he was there. micah always was looking out for her, and quite frankly evelyn had no idea why. tonight she was especially down on herself and hearing micah’s voice did not soothe her in the least. “why would you care? i’m hardly anything worth holding onto, and i just don’t want to ruin your life like i seem to have a knack for doing.” her voice was quiet as her mind tried to wrap around his words. “i’m not special, and i shouldn’t be so damn special to you.” she didn’t understand why he would care for her like he did, but right now she was thankful as he head buried in his chest. this was one of the only places that evelyn felt safe, and she could feel tears pulling at her eyes. but as she admitted that she missed him, it was the truth. evie garland did not admit much to anyone and there was really only a handful of people who got to see this side of her. micah happened to be one of them and she couldn’t help but smile lightly. she knew that he had missed her even on the tiniest scale, but it was mike and evie. “i don’t have to be thankful for anything. if tyler would have moved in, i would have just crashed in your bed with you. which i’m not opposed to doing tonight, because i really don’t want to be alone.” it was hard for her to admit, but she really wanted someone to hold her and remind her that there was something worth while there inside her. micah was probably the only person that could manage to do that for her. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 439 // notes: hehe too funny // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----Micah hated to see Evie fall so far from where she had been. Growing up, she had always been so sure of herself, or at least made every one believe that she had this amazing amount of confidence. Nothing could touch her, and she was the one keeping everyone else on their toes. But, it seemed that after the death of her sisters, and after having her heart broken repeatedly, that old fire in her was gone. Micah would give anything to see that old, happy Evie come back. He just didn’t know how they were ever going to achieve that when she could not accept how genuinely special she was and couldn’t see why he would bother to care about her. Micah tightened his hold on her a little more. “I don’t have to have a reason. I just care about you, and you are special, Evie. You’re going to have to realize that sooner or later.” Sooner rather than later would be nice, but Micah wasn’t going to push her beyond what she could handle. All that he knew he could do with absolute certainty was to be there for her, and really that was what she needed right now. Life was full of so much uncertainty, tosses and turns, and Evie just needed something solid. Micah hadn’t really been around a lot for the last few years, what with his time in the army plus his days spent globetrotting, but he could be that solid, reliable place in her life now. And, truth be told, Micah wasn’t surprised when she said that she just would have crashed in his bed. Even with Evie had lived with him before, there were a lot of nights that she wound up in his bed for one reason or another. He wasn’t going to tell her no, especially after a night like this when she would just need someone to hold her and tell her it was all going to be okay. “Of course. I’ll share my bed with you anytime, sweetheart.” He couldn’t say it without a little smirk on his lips, glancing down at her before he took the final turn that would take them down to the parking lot of the docks. Micah was soon parking the truck, killing the engine and removing the keys from the switch. After all of that, the houseboat that he owned was finally in sight. evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all how was it possible to let oneself completely deteriorate into someone that they didn’t even recognize anymore? it was so hard to face herself in the mirror somedays because evie just had no fight anymore. she longed for the days when she could make men squirm and see that she was the hottest shit there was. it was those days that she missed, back when her heart didn’t ache and she was out causing trouble and mischief. that getaway with kaler had brought her back a little, but up until tonight it had been james hale who had pieced her back together. to have him treat her like he had, it had sent evie into a downward spiral all over again and wondering why anyone in their right mind would give a damn about her, micah included. she turned her dark eyes up to him waiting for his answer to her question, but it was not what she had expected. micah always had a knack for that. “i do not have to realize anything, because you are obviously crazy! there is nothing special about me, mike! i am the one that everyone likes to forget and not care about.” so maybe she was a tiny bit bitter about how her sisters had always managed to make her feel like she was less than perfect and everyone in their town had made it clear that she was. evie would never live up to vid and stella, but she knew that. she always had, but somehow that arm pulling her in tighter made her forget about her inadequacies. it was him that managed to bring her out of this self hatred and just be there and be what she needed. he may not have always been around, what with his being in the army and all the other crazy antics that he did, but he was always there for her when she needed him. mike was always willing to help her out, and even share his bed with her just to hold her and keep her safe. but hearing him speak brought a glint to her eyes. just moments ago she had been so downtrodden, and now with that little statement she had a grin on lips. “oh is that so? now is this sharing up for things other than just cuddles?” sure this remark would spark some trouble, because well it was evie. she tended to let her body be a little free, especially when it came to mike. he could do whatever he wanted with her, but she smirked as the truck finally stopped. evie leaned up so that her feet were now on the floor facing micah. her brown eyes were obviously up to no good but she quickly leaned into him and let her lips find his. “be my distraction, please?” she spoke as she pulled away gently and leaned her head against his. she needed him to keep her mind off of where it wanted to be and just take her out of her head. at least for now. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 524 // notes: i love them <3 // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----He could only ever remember encountering such low self-esteem in one other situation in his life, and that had been boot camp for the army. However, that had pretty much been the plot of authorities there, to break people down, make them into nothing and build them back up not as individuals, but as a unit. To destroy the independent mindset and develop a group mentality was needed then, and some of the guys that Micah had been in with had really let it take a toll. He had never seen anything like it, or, that was until he dated a woman with severe daddy issues and a tendency to cut herself while he had been in Italy. But, even then it was more of a cry for attention, the woman never cutting so far as to bleed to death but just to inflict a little self-pain. Evie didn’t do anything like that, and she wasn’t the quivering pile of tears that some of the men at boot camp had been reduced to, but Micah thought that she needed more help than any of those other examples had just because she was so dead set on believing that she was truly not worth the time and space that she took up. It was sad, and he was determined to fix this somehow even if he had to call in reinforcements. “Not true,” he said simply enough in reply. “I didn’t forget you.” Mike was also very sure that no one really forgot Evelyn Garland; they just never knew how to reach out to her or show that they cared because she spent so much time keeping them at a distance. Even Jem, with whatever had just gone down between them, wouldn’t be able to forget Evie, and he wouldn’t stop caring just because they had had a fight. Hell, Kaler Scott had managed to show that he cared for this young woman, and everyone knew how painful that had to have been for him. People cared, and Evie would realize it one way or another. It would take time, and Micah would gladly be that guy that held her together until she learned to do it for herself. Sitting there in the parked truck, it was impossible to miss his smirk and it got a grin to appear on her lips. Her question got him grinning to. “I think it could.” He knew that he probably shouldn’t have encouraged her, and that sleeping with her wasn’t really going to solve anything, but it was Micah and Evie. Things like this were pretty much inevitable. And then there was the kiss, short and simple, but enough to get a spark going. He looked up into her dark eyes as her head rested against his, a smile touching his lips now. “Of course, but let’s get inside first, okay?” He chuckled lightly before stealing another quick kiss from her and then opened his door, sliding out and letting Evie follow behind him. His pale blue eyes watched her as she walked by him, headed down toward the docks and toward his houseboat. There were a lot of comments he could me, both humorous and serious, but Micah kept his mouth shut and didn’t want her remembering that she was angry at him. Maybe tomorrow he would regret letting her use him as a crutch, but then again, he doubted it. Micah lived with no regrets, and when it came to Evie he would never deny her. She was entirely too special to him, and though there was a part of him that was suddenly wanting to reach out, take hold of her and never let her go, he would help mend her. Even if it meant she’d eventually leave him once again. evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all somehow micah always knew how to say something to make her feel even the tiniest bit better. he was just amazing, and there were few words to explain how she felt about him. she knew that she loved mike in a way that was special only for him, there was absolutely no denying that. she felt a smile tug at her lips as he said that he didn’t forget her. she smiled slightly, and spoke just as softly. “well that is one person. no one else can say that.” though evie certainly made an impression on just about anyone, few people really knew her. there were only a handful that could truly say that they knew her inside and out, and the man holding her together in this moment was one of them. he always knew what she needed to hear and what she needed. evelyn garland truly appreciated everything that micah did for her, whether he fully understood it or not. the brunette was still truly hurt over the events that had happened, but being wrapped up in mike was exactly what she needed. she also knew very well that her question would bring a smile to his lips, and evie was instantly grinning as he answered her. “good.” was the only answer she had for him. he managed to make her feel better by being there and being an intoxication that she needed. when her lips connected with his, there was obviously something there. something about him just made her want him so much, and she was still angry with him. it was just something that she could not shake and his voice caught her ears as a devious smirk crossed her lips. “do we really have too?” but as soon as the question slid from her lips he was opening the door, stealing a kiss, and pulling her out of the truck. evie was not pleased with this, so she made sure to make her tiny self saunter past him on her way down to that house boat. there was something different between mike and evie this time around, and she impatiently waited for him after she opened the door. she could not put her finger on what it was, but she knew that there was something different. something had changed in the dynamic, and it confused her slightly. it didn’t take long for her thoughts to disappear as mike entered the door, but soon evie had managed to jump up and wrap her legs around his hips. “i’m still mad at you, but you better kiss me and make me forget why.” evie’s eyes twinkled with their typical fire when in his presence and let her lips crash against his and remember why she always was able to be herself when he was near her. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 485 // notes: i love them <3 // credit: to luna love bug <3

-----Everyone knew that Micah Orsino was that guy that you could go to no matter what you had done. You could count on him to be there for you, to lie for you, and to fix whatever kind of dipshit mistake that you had made. He took care of things, and for the people that he truly cared for he would do absolutely anything to make sure they would be able to get back on their feet. However, when it came to the case of Evie, there was something a little more personal about it. Micah wanted to see everyone do well in their lives, but when it came to that little fiery brunette that was walking down the dock in front of him, he felt this need to really protect her and do everything in his power to make sure she was okay. He had always just assumed that it was because of their many similarities and the fact that they had been friends for so long that she was so damn special, but it was very slowly dawning on the twenty-seven-year-old that that may not just be the case anymore. Evie really was just a special individual, and there was something about her that had Micah wrapped around her finger every single time. Even now when he knew that he should do better for her than just giving into her requests and letting her use him, he couldn’t resist. What Evie wanted, Evie got with him and Micah usually wasn’t quite so putty like in the hands of others. He was strong, proud, and stubborn man that followed his instincts, and while he knew he was still true to himself in those ways, Evie had a different effect on him. He sighed quietly as she stepped onto the boathouse and let herself in in front of him. Now was a really piss poor time to realize that there was just something else there between them for him, and though he had no idea what it was, exactly, he wouldn’t dare inflict his half-baked feelings, ideas, and notions on this poor thing who was clearly a mess right now. He was fine with ignoring them completely and she would never know what his thought process was as he entered the boathouse, grin still on his lips. Evie was on him almost immediately, jumping up and hooking her legs around his hips, arms around his neck while he wrapped his own arms around her waist. Then she kissed him with such a passion that all of Micah’s crazy thoughts flew out the window, his body responding immediately as he kissed her back and walked them toward his tiny bedroom where they would crash onto his bed. It didn’t take long for him to strip her down, and he was soon out of his clothes and so caught up in her that nothing else mattered. They were more than enough distraction for each other, and as he lay there after with her in his arms and his hand stroking her soft brown hair, he couldn’t help but to smile. “So I’d like to apologize if that wasn’t quite up to par compared to what you’ve gotten used to, but it was pretty damn good for me.” He couldn’t help but to pick just a little bit, but he hoped that she was in a better mood now and that they could keep those smiles and grins on their lips for a little while longer before reality set in. evie / amber!

rather hurt than feel nothing at all it was confusing in those few moments that she had waiting for him to enter their little home. something about them was different, and it was like a fresh light was being brought to the situation. micah was her knight in shining armor who always looked out for her. nine times out of ten she chalked it up to her being one of his really close friends, and the small fact that it was just who micah was. everything about him was the protector, but it almost seemed that he took extra special care of her, and when she needed him most that he was there. hell, most of evie’s stupidest decisions revolved around micah, and she couldn’t say that she really regretted any of them. sure their beginnings in this sexual aspect of their relationship had been rough, but now there was something here that she could not explain. she knew that every time her lips connected with his that she felt it growing stronger, but there was no way that she could possibly feel something like this so soon or at all, right? but that was the end of her thought process as she let her lips find his and let that passion that they always seemed to have build. it did not take micah long in the least to carry her back to the bedroom and to start tearing her clothes away from her body. as soon as they had shed their clothes, evie knew that this was why she came to micah. he knew exactly where to touch, to kiss, to linger and just in an all around way of distracting her and keeping her head away from the thoughts that it seemed to stray to whether it be jem or trying to figure out the feelings she could tell were there between herself and the man that now wrapped her up in his arms. laying beside him after all of it, she was thankful that he always cuddled with her. no matter what, micah always held her in his strong arms and just made the pain disappear. feeling his hands in her hair, she could have easily been lulled to sleep, but his voice caught her off guard. evelyn smirked wildly as she propped herself up against him looking into those eyes that made her a sucker for him every time. “apologize, eh? here i thought you were a proud man and would say that our sex was the best that ever happened.” she was obviously teasing him, but she smiled brightly as she leaned down and brushed her lips against his in a way that spoke volumes. “you know we are amazing at this, mike and we are perfect in our own little way.” evie couldn’t help but smile as the words she spoke were soft and true. yes her sex with jem had blown her mind, but so had micah’s and she couldn’t help but wonder why she had the same satisfaction from both experiences. tagged for: micah david orsino // word count: 510 // notes: i love them <3 // credit: to luna love bug <3
