put your arms around me and i'm home this had been one of the happiest moments of evelyn garland’s young life. it had been too long since a bright smile had been placed on her lips. she finally felt like she was going to be able to breathe, even after that night with kaler. everything that evie had been doing was something to take away the hurt and ache that she felt in her chest because a certain young man had kicked her out of his life again. though their question game had brought out a new light to their relationship and she finally felt like maybe her life would fall back into place. something that evie had not even expected. she had heard him say that he loved her a few times, but each time that the words had slipped from his perfect lips it was hard for her to believe. as much as evelyn wanted to believe that he loved her, she just didn’t know if she could say those words. every time she had managed to say them, it had ended with her heart being broken. but today was different. she smiled at micah as she bounced outside of the houseboat waiting to see the truck she had become so accustomed to seeing, and waited so patiently to see him. that was when her smile burst to her lips as she so excitedly went to the truck. “well hello there gorgeous. i still don’t believe that you drove over here just to see me. now what are your plans for us today?” evie was so happy to be in his presence, and that was when she moved closer to him in the seat and laid her head against his shoulder. “i missed you, you know that right?” it was obvious, because within moments of being in his presence she felt a million times lighter and more care free. tagged for: james alexander hale // word count: 321 // notes: i missed them // credit: to luna love bug <3

there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
today was going to be a start of something that james alexander hale knew he wanted. it had been a very long time since evelyn garland and the man had a conversation that didn't end on some bad note. this conversation, it was something that he would always remember. telling her he loved her was something he had did before, but not like this. this time he meant it, he didn't care what she was thinking, or what she was going to say. he let her know what he wanted, and that was her. it was the same exact reason that she was running towards his truck as he pulled up at the dock where micah happened to have his house boat docked. to see a smile on her face was so much different than the permanent memory of the tears streaking down her face as she begged him not to kick her out. that image was something he wished he could throw miles away from him, but for some reason, it was there. it would forever be a constant reminder of what he had almost lost. what he did lose for a great time, and now, what he was regaining. when she slid into the truck, he turned his head and looked at her, "well hello there darlin'." he threw her a grin, "today is going to be our day. i dont know what we are going to do, but whatever i am doing, i know it is going to be something good."he smiled at her, pulling out of the pier, looking down at her and sliding his hand down on her thigh, before taking her hand bringing it up to his lips and kissing it softly. "i've missed you too... to much, and i hope you know that."

put your arms around me and i'm home she had been hoping for this day to come because of everything that had happened. their lives had been so mixed up in everything that had gone on between them. but she was sitting there beside him like nothing was wrong, and all she wanted was to forget everything that had gone on before this moment. all she wanted was her man back in her life. that was all she had wanted from the beginning, and she had begged him not to throw her out. seeing him now though there was nothing but smiles on her face, because he was finally back in her life. evelyn was getting exactly what she wanted and all she wanted was him. a grin tugged at evie’s lips when she thought about where they could possibly go. “well i have an idea, do you remember the lake house that my family has?” evie was a brilliant little girl, but she also knew that her parent’s had not gone anywhere near that since her sisters had passed away. it was definitely going to be a good day, and as her head was against his shoulder, evie felt his hand on her thigh and she was immediately reminded of why she had loved him. nothing had prepared her for what his kiss would do. “i think i’m starting to learn exactly what you mean. so what do you say to taking me up to that lake house? some quality personal alone time to figure some of this shit out.” evie was finally doing something that she felt right about, and being with him was exactly what she wanted. “you are still as intoxicating as ever, you know that? i should probably not kiss you right now, right?” evie’s dark eyes locked onto his and she leaned up and kissed his ear to prove her point. tagged for: james alexander hale // word count: 321 // notes: i missed them // credit: to luna love bug <3
