THESE STREETS'LL MAKE YOU FEEL BRAND NEW
Amy was not feeling the earliness of the morning right now. She had been woken up by Brody’s extremely irritating alarm clock that morning, which had not meshed well with their late night. She had not been happy to be woken up early, but she hadn’t been able to go back to sleep. Since he had gotten up she had pulled herself out of bed as well and hung around while he got ready that morning. When he left, she had too. There was only one thing that could make this morning somewhat tolerable. Coffee. It was a known fact that the young girl was a bit of a coffee addict. There was a reason that she worked at a coffee shop. Free coffee. As an employee, she also got a discount, which was always welcome. Since Brody had been out of coffee, and the shop was closer than her house, she decided to stop by there despite the fact that she was not scheduled to work that day. She ordered a large vanilla cappuccino, hoping the caffeine and sugar would jump start her a little, and a blueberry muffin, then searched the crowded shop for a seat. She saw a familiar face sitting by herself at a table and Amy walked over and sat herself down across from the young blonde. “Why oh why did I have to date a guy who has to get up early in the mornings,” she complained, taking a long drink of her coffee. She couldn’t say she knew the blonde girl across from herself very well, but this was Amy. She would tell a stranger odd and personal details about herself. She wasn’t all that shy about anything. She looked up at her friend. “Sorry. Late nights and early mornings don’t mix well. What’s up with you this awful morning?” She picked off a piece of muffin and shoved it into her mouth, following it with a big swig of coffee. God she was so tired.
