okay, so the staff have noticed the reoccurring problem of the board being stretched by images. whether its because of image size or coding, its been happen entirely too often. if you read the rules they clearly state:
"as for graphics, DO NOT STRETCH THE BOARD it is that simple! sigs should be no longer than 450 in width and avatars are a max size of 150 x 200. if your graphics stretch the board they will be taken down by an admin."
so here's how to do this and keep your admins happy!
1. first off, the rules clearly state that avatars are a max size of 150 x 200. this means that your avatars cannot come to a width GREATER than 150. this does not mean that you can have it as a width of 200. if we see this, it will be taken down. end of story. this rule violation seems to come most often with animation found on the internet, as they come at a width of 200 most of the time. there's a simple answer to this: get someone to resize it for you. all you have to do is ask nicely.
2. the max width of all images on the board are 450. therefore, no image should be bigger than this. anything bigger will stretch the board and make your admins very unhappy.
3. sometimes the stretching of the board has nothing to do with your images. instead, its all about the coding. when you blockquote around an image it stretches the board. so here's an easy way to fix that: do not blockquote images. blockquote the text but leave the image outside of the [*blockquote][*/blockquote] tags. this will keep the board from stretching and everyone will be happy!
this has been luna's guide to images and board stretching. follow these few simple steps and the board will not be stretched. however, if the board is stretched in any way, images will be taken down until they are resized. if you cannot do it yourself, simply ask someone who can. easy, right? remember these few simple tips and everything will run smoothly!
have a nice day, your wonderful and amazing administration
