ALL I KNOW IS I WAS ENCHANTED TO MEET YOU Kahlan had to say that growing up with six brothers had given her a bit of a mischievous streak. Calder was pretty much a complete and total stranger to her, and yet she couldn’t resist the urge to do so. It wasn’t like it would hurt him, but there was always a chance of retaliation. "Nice shot Katniss, maybe you'd be the better Indian after all." She laughed, knowing the book that he was referencing. She’d much rather play Katniss than some Indian warrior for sure. Katniss was kick ass. She threw the bow into the pile and was examining s cool looking medieval shield when he spoke. She looked up at his words. "I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?" Oh shit. She threw the shield up out of reflex, a small, high pitched scream leaving her lips when he shot. The crack from the gun masked her scream though, for which she was thankful. After all the years of being hit by bullets from toy guns and being soaked by the occasional water gun, it was no wonder she reacted so. Ethan and Shane were the ones notorious for the toy guns. They had loved to hide behind things and jump out to pelt anyone that passed. Yeah, her brother’s were great like that. Kahlan dropped the shield and continued to search the room. She found a couple interesting items which she set aside. A lot of what she discovered was useless to them, though very cool. When she finished her little section she turned to look at Cale. “So, find anything good?” She knelt down by the pile, cowboy hat still sitting on her head as she shifted through some of the stuff she’d placed there and some of the stuff he’d placed there as well. She wasn’t exactly sure what to do with it all. tagged for: calder joseph hennessey // word count: 368 // notes: <33

Cale couldn't help doubling over in hysterics when Kahlan screamed at the cap gun, holding the shield in front of her. Not paying attention, he nearly toppled off the stool, able to catch himself just in time. Yes, this project was turning out to be a lot more fun than he first thought, now he just had to ignore the fact it was for Seymour's class, which was turning out to be an easy feat. He sifted through the last of the shelves, tossing a few bandanas into their pile. Stepping down, Cale went through a few boxes next to the shelves, finding a gun holster for his cap gun and a sheriff's badge. He brought his spoils to the pile he and Kahlan had formed, plopping down on the floor across from his partner. "Well, I found a bunch of cowboy stuff. Gun, holster, some bandanas, badge..." He glanced up at the cowboy hat on Kahlan's head. "Hat." He reached out and slapped the brim, bringing it down over her eyes. He reached back to pull the cap gun from his pocket, setting it with the rest of the cowboy stuff. "And we have an indian headdress." Which he reached out to place on his own head. "Bow and arrows, moccasins." He picked up the shoes to examine them more closely regretting it after he got a whiff of them. "Whoa! Whoever wore these last better see a doctor." He made a gagging face then tossed them aside. He pitied the person who had to wear those next. "Okay well. I have some stuff back at my apartment I'll go through tonight. I'm sure there's another cowboy hat and a pair of boots." He looked up at Kahlan. "Don't worry, it's nothing kinky. They were for auditions last summer." The one summer he was able to stay down in Arietta instead of trekking back to Boston. It wasn't like he lived on campus and had to move in and out every year. "Why don't we exchange numbers so we can get in contact easier." He reached into his other rear pocket to extract his phone, setting up a blank New Contact template and handing it to Kahlan to input her number.
